At a ceremony in Kent Island, MD, #bcfd Rescue 1 members EVD Gregory W. Nelson & EMT/FF Andrew M. Vernon were awarded the Chief Leonard T. King, Sr. Medal of Valor from the Maryland Fire Chiefs Association for heroic actions at the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse. Congrats!

#bcfd is currently on the scene of an active fire at Edmondson Ave and Bantalou St. Mulit-story warehouse. Crews are working diligently to contain the blaze and ensure the safety of all individuals involved. Please avoid the area and updates will be provided as they are available

UPDATE: Edmondson Ave: Fire remains contained to original fire building. #BCFD is operating with a 3-alarm crew continuing to chase hotspots. Amtrak service has been restored yet restricted to 1 track. Updates will be provided as they are made available. No reported injuries.

BCFD is currently on scene at the 3400 block of E. Baltimore St. At this time, there are 3 dwellings involved. The incident has escalated to a third alarm. The 3400 block of East Baltimore St is closed to all traffic Expect extensive delays in the immediate surrounding area.

Shortly before 6:00 a.m., Baltimore Fire was dispatched to the 2600 blk of Cannery Ave. for a reports of a tractor trailer collision w/ a train. Upon arrival, units confirmed no injuries & no leaks . BCFD remains on the scene along w/ the MDE. The cause is under investigation.
