Costa Rica has no army/millitary. It was abolished in 1948. The constitution forbids the establishment of one. Instead, they have a public force handling law enforcement and internal security. Military spending is channelled to education and health. Now you know 😁

How is this ranking calculated National Examinations Council (NECO)? From the data ranking based on performance [Pass Rate % = Candidate pass 5 credits/Candidate sat X 100]: 1-Abia 83% 2-Imo 81% 3-Ebonyi 80% 4-C/River 76.6% 5-Delta 76.2% 6-Ogun 75.8% 7-Ekiti 75.4% 8-Bayelsa 75.2% 9-Lagos 73.6%

I’ve reviewed the sheet & tried diff calculations, none support the ranking. It’s not based on population or performance. E.g Kano, with 50%+ failure rate, is ranked 2nd. If the ranking is by population, it should be 1st. Looking for the doc to check National Examinations Council (NECO) methodology.

JAMB is a ranking exam to place students in schools. There are more qualified students seeking admission than there are schs (slot), hence the need for ranking. Having enough schs should make JAMB obsolete cos schs have selection exams-post UTME. These exams can be standardised.

We didn’t engage JAMB simply out of emotion. As soon as the results were announced, my phone blew up with calls from principals of schools using our Educare platform. Their students had drilled for months on our CBT system—taking tests, viewing scores, grading schemes, and
