Five Barker staff completed the Teen Mental Health First Aid Instructor Course this week, participating in 4 days of intense learning. They are now qualified instructors looking forward to opportunities to upskill students with essential mental health knowledge and skills.

Our Executive team came together this week to finalise preparations for commencement and the year ahead. Today we also extended a very warm welcome to all of our new staff joining the Barker team in 2024. #WeAreBarker

We would like to congratulate Martin Lubrano, our Head of Junior School, who has been elected to the post of National President of IPSHA from May 2024. As a peak body for the Independent Primary School sector, the role will provide advocacy and have access to policy making.

We are delighted that Barker College has been recognised as an Advanced Workplace in the MHFA Australia Workplace Recognition Program. With 9 Instructors, 300+ staff as Mental Health First Aiders, and courses offered in Youth Mental Health First Aid to staff and families.
