Another great sermon from Peter Birkinshaw at our family service today. We're thrilled that he has been selected for ordination training in The Church of England - but so sad that he has to leave us! What an amazing gift he is to Diocese of York.

Over this next week, we will recap our recent sermon series on The Armour of God. Jesus crafted the best and most beautiful armour with his death, and resurrection. Each day this week we will give thanks for a different aspect of the gospel as it protects us in our daily life.

The Belt of Truth: The truth of Jesus isn't difficult to work out, or shaded by lies. But it does require daily commitment and a lifetime of grace. Rev Paul reminded us that we can know the truth by spending time with God's Word (Jesus), and in his word (the bible).

3/7 'The breastplate of righteousness' isn't our own - but Jesus Christ's. It will protect us on the day of judgment and in our daily battles. We are vulnerable when we trust in our own righteousness. We are strong when we trust in the righteousness of Jesus.

Sermon series part 3: 'The Sandals of the Gospel of Peace' Peace and restlessness meet in our call to share the gospel with others. Our settled lives should be roused by a call to share in and proclaim Jesus' gospel of peace.
