This steam engine dates from 1874, was only 3rd made by Needhams in Barnsley. Used at Barnsley Brewery. A 4th was ordered by Cortonwood Colliery. Steam Museum, Markham Garden Centre, Doncaster. ⁦National Coal Mining Museum⁩ ⁦Ian McMillan⁩ (also see earlier post) #AllMetalMonday

It's open day at Barnsley Main today 11am - 4pm. The pop-up museum will be open and there will be a local coal mining historian with lots of knowledge and artefacts, walks, stories and talks around site with Keith Pendleton, a craft stall, tombola, and music from Alan Wood.
