While I think Olympic gold medal soccer player Ashley Lawrence is not likely going to be around next Sat during our 30th anniversary C3 quarry party, she stops in when she's in town. The 3x Olympian had her mom watch the Tokyo gold medal match on our C3 beach. What an athlete.

Mega kudos to Town of Caledon I have been on the main trail 75 straight days this spring-summer & it's widely used by runner-walkers-bikers-hikers of all ages. With toilets - lights or bridges to cross major roads, we have a secret gem for our citizens to exercise & move around.

My 68 yr old pal Mark Herbst is 17 000km into his world record ride of 30 000km to raise $$ for cancer & honour his wife who passed 3 yrs ago. From Bangkok to Australia - New Zealand - USA now to Canada before Portugal - Spain-France-Italy-Greece-Turkey & back to Bangkok. Legend

C3 pal Mark Herbst is 17 000+ km into his world record 30 000km ride. He crossed back into Canada in Leamington via Ferry from Ohio last night staying with the Kniaziew family. After 150km today he will be in St Thomas with C3 Alumni Susan Cole. A truly remarkable story.

My 68 year old C3 pal, Mark Herbst is on the road right now on his bike and will arrive at my Caledon home for supper tonight. Just under 200 days and 18 000km since he left Bangkok Jan 6th. One night stay & he will continue with 12 000 km to go to circumnavigate the planet.

I am sure data-nerds know the answer. But today Canadian Tamara Jewett ran 2hrs 40min & a few seconds for her marathon split off the bike at Ironman Lake Placid. Mind-boggling. Has any woman ever broken 2:40 in history? Only 2 guys ran faster than her today in the entire race

Life's simple joys can be just watching kids and families and dogs enjoy a great summer night at our C3 James Dick Quarry. Much to be grateful for.

Honoured to have been chosen as the Chairman for this year's Caledon Sports Hall of Fame. We met yesterday and while it's a secret of who will come into the big event in Jan 2026, the names are going to be incredible as were their sport accomplishments.

My goal at C3 when an athlete-family drove thru the gates to the property. That their stress went away. A smile appeared & they and their family could swim-paddle-play beach volleyball - hit the weights or play with their dog. Then leave regenerated & bring that joy with them.

When we started 20+ years ago there was on sand - no paddling - no driveways - no electricity - no dog park - no beach volleyball - no weight room. Just awesome clean water. So many friends - sponsors & donors have helped create this family oasis. So much gratitude to so many.

Went downtown to watch the terrific Toronto Super Tri races this afternoon. World class entertainment - execution & inspiration for this weekend's Toronto Triathlon Festival. Great to see Canadians Tyler Mislawchuk Charles Paquet & Mathis Beaulieu put up big performances. Bravo.

One final down & her first gold medal in the 400m freestyle against a world class field. Going to be a busy week for Canada's golden girl Summer McIntosh.

A great wknd to say the word MILE & CANADIANS in the same phrase. In Quebec over the weekend 9 Canadians broke the 4 min mile in one race (new record). While in Portugal Corey Bellemore broke the Beer Mile World Record of 4:28 (his own) by 1 sec. Not bad for a guy doing 70.3s

3 for 3 gold medals at World Aquatic Champs for Canada's greatest swimmer ever. Summer McIntosh still has 2 more chances at gold with the final one Sat against Katie in the 800m show down. What an amazing meet for a teenager.

What a spectacular start to my day at the C3 Quarry in Caledon. Just the dogs & I at 550am watching the sun come up. Then a great 6-7am dryland session before watching my pal Steve Coburn who had a stroke, working with his physio in our beautiful water. Much gratitude.
