If Jenrick wants to cosplay in the criminal justice system he’s welcome to borrow my wig and see how his government have devastated the courts over the last ten years.

The only “activism” I engage in is drawing attention to a criminal justice system broken by the political friends of Andrew Neil. It is most peculiar that he considers functioning criminal justice to be a “far left” issue. My view is that it rather affects us all.

Anyway, off now to another day in a crumbling court in a broken criminal justice system, to sit with weeping victims of crime and tell them their case - already 5 years old - can’t go ahead. Creating this chaos and then cosplaying as a vigilante does not make you tough on crime

To help Honest Bob Jenrick - whose video completely misrepresents the cab rank rule and the duties on barristers not to discriminate against politically unpopular clients - here’s something from last year thesecretbarrister.com/2024/03/24/is-…

Sir Geoffrey Cox KC was standing counsel to a foreign government. Represented foreign governments. Was involved in actions against the UK government. Represented police officers accused of corruption. And was perfectly suited to being AG.

Robert Jenrick This post by Jenrick, who is supposed to be Shadow Justice Secretary, is particularly disgraceful. As a lawyer, I am sure that he has in his time represented the interests of clients who he either found unpleasant or disreputable. Maintaining the rule of law and our freedoms

To save time, you can shill for Jenrick and his anti-democratic populism as much as you like, but I’m afraid I’m not going to agree that you know more about the professional code of barristers than actual barristers. Jenrick is lying. His supporters are wrong. It’s that simple.
