No one is going to take our democracy away from us. Not now, not ever. America has come too far, fought too many battles, and endured too much to let that happen.

Happy to share the latest paper from our lab! Stellar work by Maya Ketzef (Twitterless) revealing the properties of different neuron types in the External Globus Pallidus (GPe). No summary here… Open access on Neuron. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Yes! These ARE the GCaMPs you're looking for. Much faster, much better SNR, bright, no signs of toxicity (relative to current GCaMPs; we have not looked carefully yet). It's DEFINITELY worth upgrading your imaging from GCaMP6 or jGCaMP7 (or X-CaMP). Great collaboration!

Happy to share our new paper done in collaboration with Nicolas Mallet and just accepted in Current Biology authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S09…

New CDC isolation guidance seems to be a top down, corporate-driven, poorly coordinated decision. 1) Delta Airlines asked for this. 2) CDC staff I spoke with wasn’t aware of this guidance change until it dropped, says staff is now being asked to write scientific justification.

What if circuit/neurochemical context can determine #fMRI response polarity to local neuronal activation? See our preprint on these effects in #striatum using #optogenetics, #electrophysiology, #FSCV, #fiberphotometry, #pharmacology, #microscopy, and #TMS: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

The most labor intensive work from my lab thus far, led by Dr. Dom, Dan Albaugh, Dr. Halfpint 🍻. We gave it everything. And here we share all new things we learned about fMRI signal in striatum! This marks our time CAMRI UNC. Please share if you find it worth reading
