BATESVILLE, INDIANA — Batesville Middle School Assistant Principal Justin Tucker has been named as one of three national finalists for the 2025 Assistant Principal of the Year for Middle Level Schools, announced the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).

The 7th & 8th grade dance team went to the Indiana State competition on Sunday.  We had 5 soloists and we took the top 5 placements. Congratulations!!

Thanks to the generosity of our students and staff, the Bake Sale organized by the Student Council and Interact Club was a tremendous success. We are excited to donate $733 to the Batesville Methodist Church's Summer Food Program. Great job, everyone!

The BAAC Arts in Education Funds supported the 8th-grade Lantern Project at BMS, led by guest Artisan Wayne Lanning. Students created stained glass lanterns using woodworking and metal work, focusing on shaping stained glass and soldering pieces together.

Sixth-grade Civics students learned about U.S. citizenship responsibilities and civic duties. They organized a collection drive, successfully donating over 170 items to the Ripley County Animal Shelter.

The BMS 2025 Spring Arts Festival was a tremendous success, showcasing the talents of our young artists. Performances by the band, choir, soloists, and ensembles were outstanding, complemented by phenomenal artwork.

With the incredible support of our community, Mrs. Elston's class successfully collected an impressive 67 gallons of tabs to assist families in need at the Cincinnati Ronald McDonald House. This achievement highlights the power of teamwork and compassion.

The track team continues to break records, showcasing their incredible dedication and talent!

These readers successfully achieved their goal of completing the required number of books for the Young Hoosier Book Program and enjoyed a drink and snack at Amack’s Well today. Well done, ladies!
