I spoke too soon - delighted to say, we have at least one swift left up here, and it is still attending to its nest in Fairfield Park Road!

Wow. The Fairfield Park Road nest just fledged, 2 fledglings at least in the air, 8 in total, this may be their final showing before they go

This morning we still have swifts over Fairfield Park, delighted to see they didn't leave overnight. Not long now, enjoy them while you can!

... and they have been screaming. Wonderful, but one can't help but feel that 'end of Summer' melancholy when the swifts get ready to leave.

'Big group' meaning 20+, and some screaming, which is always a joy to the ears.

Still a couple of adult swifts over Fairfield Park tonight, but the big crowds have not been seen for over a week now, presumed flown South

Thrilled to be able to say we still have swifts over Larkhall - 5 at least, tearing around quite low.

15 swifts, many of them juveniles, passed over Fairfield Park about an hour ago, having a good feed over the "valley of future allotments"
