This Natterer’s bat is one of over 200 bats that call St Lawrence Church in Northamptonshire home. @batsinchurches helped the church create a bat loft, providing roosting space for the bats while ensuring the church could open for worship. Read more 👉 heritagefund.org.uk/stories/all-cr…

Thanks to @batsinchurches we now have two Peersonic bat detectors to help us survey more churches next year. Thank you! We are hoping we can send more data than ever to National Bat Monitoring Programme (NBMP) next year.

V pleased with my solution to prevent 🦇🦇flying under the door into St Andrews, Holcombe, Somerset, cared for by the Churches Conservation Trust. The worn threshold tells of the centuries of parishioners that had passed over it & couldn’t be replaced so I cast a new removable section into it ⤵️

It’s #BatAppreciationDay! Our partnership with Bats in Churches allows bats to roost in our churches without damaging the church interior. St. Peters, Wintringham, has an exhibition on these striking animals. Why not #stepintospring and pay them a visit? visitchurches.org.uk/visit/tours-an…

A reminder that it's #ChurchesCountOnNature Week starting this Saturday! Some nice weather forecast (for some of us!) at the weekend so it's a great opportunity to get out and look for bats at your local church. #30DaysWild #bats Church of England Environment Programme

This Saturday we will be at Wild About Mannington. We will have a stand, with your chance to make bat rockets! Bring your wellies, many of their lovely footpaths are a bit damp after the rain.
