Great catch! Students from Bay Area robotics teams developed competing robots that picked up + tossed out 9" diameter balls (and could even do pull-ups!) THANK YOU to our presenting sponsor, Chevron, for helping us bring the awesome power of #STEM to the Bay Area and beyond!

It was a zoo at Discovery Day at Oracle Park this year: A Robot Zoo, that is! At the Robot Zoo, attendees got to explore machines of all shapes and sizes - some that could play catch, dance and be raced around a track. Thanks for joining us AbbVie to create this amazing exhibit!

Are you a supertaster? If so, you inherited a dominant variant of the TAS2R38 gene, which creates a heightened sense of taste. BASF attendees used DNA testing strips to determine whether they have the SUPERTASTER gene! Thank you to our sponsor, @merck, for this fun exhibit!

We're just a little over a month out from wrapping BASF 2022 - how about a little #tbt to celebrate? It was such a JOY to be back in person, discovering science together, all around the Bay Area at events like STEM-Frenzy and more. We can't wait for next year's festivities!

The Bay Area Science Festival won't be held in 2023, but we hope to return in 2024. Over the next year, we’ll consider the best ways to share STEM with the Bay Area. We’ll keep providing updates on BASF, and we look forward to continuing to Discover Science Together!
