Sir Thomas Holmes Sellors (1902-1987) was born 120 years ago today. He performed the world's first pulmonary valvotomy in 1947 Royal Brompton and Harefield and closed >250 atrial septal defects under hypothermia at the Middlesex Hospital. Happy Birthday 'Uncle Tom'!
