Prof Frances Balkwill from the Bart’s Cancer Institute Barts Cancer Institute (Queen Mary) (a key partner in our CRUK London Centre) shared the impact of EU funding on her team’s work. A decade ago she applied for an ERC Advance Grant which supports high risk work to model a human tumour.
