Super shuffed to see my 24th butterfly species for the garden this evening, in the form of this fresh Brown Argus - hot on the heels of our first Marbled White a few days ago! Beds and Northants BC

An amazing 34 second brood Wood Whites in Hazelborough Forest, as good, if not better, than the first brood! Lots of tufted vetch around to keep them busy. Around 20 species in total, including other second broods and a Valezina still around. Beds and Northants BC Alan Neale

I can usually guarantee seeing second brood Holly Blues feeding on snowberry. Five males were present during a short walk in Abington Park this morning. David James Beds and Northants BC

Sometimes you can be lucky enough to find a female Common Blue that is an absolute jewel! Such as this one, which was at Old Sulehay a few days ago.
