We're devastated to see images from last night's fire just below the Hatchet Field. A massive thank you to Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service for getting the blaze under control, however this shouldn't be part of their job. Please do not deliberately start any fires & if you see a fire report it

Wildfires all over the country at the moment and still people think it’s ok light fires and barbecues which they then leave smoldering. This was on the beach this morning so it’s been going since last night. Belfast Telegraph Mark Simpson Ulster Wildlife Belfast Hills Cllr Barry McKee

Well done to everyone who got involved with our school planting sessions this year as part of the Belfast City Council #OneMillionTrees project! 397 pupils got their hands muddy planting trees in their school grounds across the city. Read about it here 👇 belfasthills.org/newsroom/one-m…

We're delighted to be supported by RiverRidge, in partnership with the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland. Our project will allow us to carry out more woodland & wildflower meadow management and support volunteers, school groups & students in getting involved with looking after our local environment!

Time for a Volunteer update! We made our way to Colin Glen on two separate days to tackle the mammoth task of clearing litter from the river & walkways. We removed over 40 bags of rubbish & other larger items that had been dumped. Well done everyone!
