On 25 September 1981, Belize officially became a member of the #UNGA 🇺🇳. This was the culmination of years of lobbying at the UN by the Independence Secretariat, led by Hon. George Price. Belize has since held the status of a responsible actor in the international community.

Hon. Orlando Habet, Minister of Sustainable Development & Climate Change delivered Belize’s second VNR today during the ECOSOC HLPF. Belize’s VNR provides a comprehensive assessment of all 17 SDGs and applicable targets and was developed through a whole of society approach. 🤝🏽🇧🇿
