This is a first for me. CO Rep. Lauren Boebert's financial disclosure for 2024 discloses nothing. No book royalties (it was in her last disclosure), no bank accounts, no home mortgage. #copolitics

Today Vice President JD Vance JD Vance and 50 #Republican Senators voted to make the rich - richer - by ripping healthcare from 17 million Americans, and starving millions of children, seniors, and working class families. #copolitics Thankfully this vote isn't the end of the fight. 🧵

Millions of qualified Americans would be buried in new paperwork, kicked out of the low-income health care program, studies show coloradosun.com/2025/07/02/rep… via Taylor Dolven #copolitics

We're at the Colorado Title Board today, fighting against a measure that would destroy the state's revenue base. Just another Wednesday. #copolitics #coleg

A statement from @bellpolicy President Chris deGruy Kennedy on the disastrous bill that Congress passed. It will hit rural Colorado especially hard, and those who voted for it will have to live with the wreckage they created. #copolitics #coleg

Colorado is considering a special session to deal with the wreckage created by Congress. Filling the giant hole they created is incredibly difficult in Colorado, which is hamstrung by TABOR's constitutional budget restrictions. There are only bad choices. bit.ly/4lngMXs

“SALT cap or no SALT cap, the mega bill overall is a bonanza for the rich in every state." Even with the SALT cap, the wealthy still receive the biggest tax cuts from this bill, as our Steve Wamhoff explains. washingtonpost.com/business/2025/…

$71,000. That's the average tax break for the top 1% of Coloradans. Cutting healthcare and food assistance to give tax breaks to the wealthy is unconscionable. ITEP

the GOP budget bill gives the top 1% of Coloradans (folks making more than $860k/yr) a tax cut worth more than the majority of Coloradans’ annual income.

Trump’s tariffs could offset most of the megabill’s tax cuts for the bottom 80% of Americans. For the bottom 40% of Americans, the tariffs could be greater than the tax cuts. Higher prices will impact low- to middle-income households more than the wealthy.

Thank you, ITEP for posting this Bell Policy Center piece on how rural Colorado will suffer from the hollowing out of the safety net by this current crop of federal elected officials. And all just to give gigantic tax breaks to the wealthy. Shameful. bit.ly/3GNYkYT

50 years of property tax limits have done nothing to reduce the cost of housing. Instead, they’ve favored wealthier homeowners and businesses over average Americans while reducing funds for local services. There are better solutions available. itep.org/effects-of-pro…

The math doesn’t math. Today, #coleg leaders and the state budget director are talking through how giveaways for giant corporations and federal budget cuts will devastate Colorado’s budget, which has suffered from a structural deficit for years. To put it simply, we’re broke.

The @bellpolicy Center's Joshua Mantell was among those who spoke to lawmakers about the pain Coloradans will suffer as a result of the federal bill that cut services in order to give a tax break to the wealthy. #copolitics #coleg
