The PM URGENTLY needs to come out and categorically confirm no tax rises for Hospitality in the budget. We are already one of the most taxed sectors. Businesses are closing. 69,000 jobs have been lost since the last budget. Communities and High streets are being ripped apart.

We have already lost 69.000 jobs this year in hospitality and if these forecasts are correct a further 5000 jobs will go in pub sector alone and we will lose the heart and job of our communities #TaxedOut news.sky.com/story/a-pub-a-…

And to add to this list new packaging taxes, mandatory food reporting and targets and employment costs. Margins are paper thin and cost of doing business does get passed on in price, job losses or business failure - all of which leaves working people worse off

UK inflation up again this month - to 3.6% driven by energy and food prices, the former due to lack of meaningful regulation of commercial energy costs and the latter reflecting increases in wage costs and NICs - if we are to get inflation under control we need action on costs
