.Gris Aguilera & Jantsch discuss work by El Mossadeq Layla et al (hubs.la/Q038drT00) that utilized sophisticated imaging approaches of #Celegans embryos undergoing #meiosis to reveal the existence of an "interkinetic envelope" in oocytes during interkinesis. hubs.la/Q038dlrP0

New paper alert🚨 Journal of Cell Biology shorturl.at/N6zMq We show that the cortical pool of LIN-5/GPR-1/2 complexes facilitates the timely accumulation of contractile ring components at cleavage furrow onset and the midbody, thus supporting multiple steps of cytokinesis.

Henry and Devon’s paper, ‘Phosphate-binding pocket on cyclin B governs CDK substrate phosphorylation and mitotic timing’ is out today in Nature Communications! nature.com/articles/s4146…

I’m excited, relieved, and honored to announce that my paper describing non-canonical mitotic mechanisms in the early mouse embryo is out in Science Magazine ! (link at end of 🧵)
