I’m appalled by the murderous attack on Israeli Embassy employees in Washington DC outside the Jewish Museum. There can be no excuse or justification.

Horrified by the killing of two Israeli Embassy staff in DC. We condemn this appalling, antisemitic crime. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and colleagues at this awful time.

The strength of the families of hostages still held in Gaza is remarkable in the face of unimaginable suffering. I’m deeply moved by their courage and hope. I’m grateful to Amanda and Dalia for their time today. The UK continues to call for the immediate release of all hostages.

On my first trip to Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, I met with the families of hostages held by Hamas and visited an aid centre in the West Bank. The UK is calling for the release of all hostages, the urgent delivery of aid and a two-state solution.
