It’s sad that @HelenRSalisbury needed to write this in the The BMJ, but she’s right, it has to be repeated. On fining people for missed appointments. “This is a way to bake in inequalities: punching down, rather than levelling up” Link if preferred: bmj.com/content/378/bm…

It's disheartening, 2+ years after the start of the pandemic, that smell & taste impairment remains in the shadows, still misunderstood and underrated. We will continue to speak out and push for recognition of the burden of chemosensory loss 🧵 bmj.com/content/378/bm…

Very interesting: Hearing aids and cochlear implants seem to reduce cognitive decline and dementia in older adults with hearing loss. (N = 137,484) doi.org/10.1001/jamane…

The controversy continues. We just published in JAMA Oncology an analysis showing minimum benefit of immunotherapy for low PD-L1 expressing esophageal tumors jamanetwork.com/journals/jamao…, Feng Wang shows the opposite ascopubs.org/doi/10.1200/JC…. are we none the wiser? Filippo Pietrantonio
