In our next session we discussed radio and podcasts w/ Gareth_Mitchell, longstanding presenter of BBC Digital Planet+ top prof on the Imperial College London #SciComm masters. Gareth told us how awesome podcasts can be (intimate, immediate, personal, portable) + we did some LIVE podcast editing!

We learned about the wonderful world of science writing with the award-winning editor of BBC Science Focus Magazine, Daniel Bennett. Dan emphasised the need to consider your audience, think carefully about your unique pitch/take on a story and just how important it is to build a web presence.
