Friday night was our 8th “8th Grade Dance/Party” at NMS. We provided a special game called Duck Throwing. Our amazing art teacher, Ms. Carr, turned #atche%s into ducks! (Although they didn’t survive!) Mr. Voss and Benson tweaked the target! Even the adults loved it! #engagement

Two more days! Slime is our go to math activity for the end of the year! Measuring, reading directions, problem solving and more make this the perfect “last day in Math 8” activity. #engagement

At the EOY, our students write a letter to themselves. After 4 yrs we return them to the students. Some are EZ to find, at NHS, others require a bit of investigation. These were the letters we returned during Senior walk this year! #relationshipsmatter

Need a great way to fill a few minutes here and there? Try Math Vocab Heads Up! Prep vocab cards for each topic/unit and add to the stack after each lesson. A great way to spiral skills and to insure you use every minute of class for learning! #engagement #spiralskills

We have one more 1/2 day, but our state testing is done. We are SO PROUD of our students! We also want to mention that 7 of the 8 students who did not pass the SOL made huge improvements over 7th grade, which in the past would have earned them a "pass by growth." #StudentSuccess

Today was the last day of BensonVoss’ 8th year together. As we cleaned our rooms we found a box labeled “Big Lego’s and Dinosaurs.” Why? Who knows! Good news, we made it out before 6!
