On #WorldStrokeDay, we are reminded that individuals recovering from a stroke typically experience a 50% reduction in fitness and physical activity levels, highlighting the importance of exercise as an effective and zero-cost approach to long-term recovery.youtube.com/watch?v=sZrzm5…

We just got a CIHR Project Grant to conduct a RCT to study if exercise can prevent cognitive decline and reduce dementia risk early post-stroke. The two postdocs of the memorylab Kevin Moncion, PT PhD and Lynden Rodrigues will lead this ambitious project.

Kudos to Kevin Moncion, PT PhD from the memorylab for obtaining a CIHR postdoctoral fellowship to study early multimodal exercise training to promote cognition and cerebrovascular recovery post-stroke. Well done Kevin!
