🚨 Those from upper-middle-class backgrounds, and the privately-educated, are significantly overrepresented in the creative professions in the UK. Our new research uncovers stark inequalities in access to careers in the creative industries, including television, film, and music

TV and film particularly offers an opportunity to represent the lives and experiences of people from different backgrounds, but access to the top of this profession is not equal. We found that 1 in 3 BAFTA-nominated actors were educated privately.
