Rotherhithe councillors have continued to press for changes to the cycleway on Lower Road which doesn’t work for residents. Happy that the council are looking at our ideas for change. As promised at our last meeting we’ll hold another ward forum in Spring to discuss this further.

The road closure by Thames Water 💧 with no notice, which has cut off bus access to the #Rotherhithe peninsula, is unacceptable. It isolates residents who rely on the bus. We have asked TfL to put in place a shuttle service to replace the C10 and 381 buses.

This is factually incorrect and misleading ❌ Councils don't have powers to introduce a tourist tax and it would make us an expensive outlier. Southwark Labour amended this ill thought out motion calling for a Londonwide scheme which Sadiq Khan has already expressed support for.
