Another successful #rewilding project in #Newham 🪲 Turning a grassed over roundabout into a patch of #wildflowers.🌼 A small project that’s improving the environment for residents of one estate in #WestHam; as well as helping our bees & butterflies🐝🦋 (1st pic before & after)

Why is TfL still strimming down sections of the tube network? Habitat loss leaves large numbers of species to gradually decline and go extinct 🐝🌱🌻

We don't allow Amazon to have 1.5 ton machines moving at 30mph close to people within their warehouses. So why allow 1.5 ton machines to move at 30mph close to children walking to school. Its why #20splenty is becoming the urban norm where motors and people mix

@HaveringStreets Havering Council Few points on why the schemes are important, #SchoolStreets: ✅ reduce traffic & road danger outside school ✅ improve #AirQuality on street/in school ✅ improve kids' fitness & health ✅ develop young people's independence ✅ address trend of YP's dependence on parents to travel

Well it was SUPER hot as expected today. Lovely to welcome some new pickers alongside our regulars. We collected 27 bags and a suitcase, so well worth the effort. Join us next month for our last pick before our summer break. Sunday 30th July 11-12.30. #wansteadflats

The Avenue de la Grande Armée, Paris, is a key thoroughfare between suburbs and the city center.  The new design, to be implemented by 2030, will halve the space for cars in exchange for wider sidewalks and green space. Inspiring! 💚

We love this pedestrian crossing🌳👌 🌳Trees are used instead of🛑ugly signage to define/shape this into a safe place to cross. We'd like to see🍃trees + planting more widely accepted as an integral element within highway design. It's a total win-win🥳 #greenerstreets #Lambeth

After years of inaction & much too many injuries (and at least one sad death) the new Romford Road cycleway is much, much better late than never. We hope Newham London 💙 and TfL can work together to speedily deliver this long-overdue safe 🚲 route all the way through to Ilford.

This road in E13 was shut for a week for Thames Water 💧 nearly 2 weeks ago. The road closure signs have still not been moved and are blocking the pavements. Technically, I think the sign should be on the road in the first instance #WeAreNewham #PavementsForPeople [from a follower]
