This is the paperwork required to send one order to the EU now. Previously zero. £100k / year of Veterinary inspection fees now, previously £0. Very annoying/ costly for an established business like us, crippling for a small company! Emailed Greg Hands , no response...

It’s clear that Andy Street is leading talks to bring Warwickshire and its Districts into the West Midlands Combined Authority. Under new powers he will be able to do this without the approval of West Midlands Council Leaders.Ā  This is undemocratic, undermines the purpose of the

Read this thread and weep (then get angry) at the utter folly of Brexit seen through the eyes of a family firm being ruined by its red tape consequences Remember - that was the stuff Brexit was going to get rid of. Never forget. Never forgive the liars who created this self-harm

If all the UK had same trade deal as Northern Ireland - in customs union and single market - our GDP would be £100 bn higher . Good stat at opening of Future of Britain conference ( Tony Blair Institute) where nobody- including Blair - unafraid to identify the Brexit disaster.

Memo to Rishi Sunak - I'm not asking you to take lectures from me. I'm asking you to listen to experts, businesses & the public. They all want bolder climate action, yet you can't even bother to make it a top 5 priority. You're complicit in this #climatechaos. My #PMQ šŸ‘‡

The message of last night’s by-elections is clear. Voters have finally learned after decades how to use their vote in a first past the post voting system. Tactical voting will sweep the Tories, who have so misgoverned Britain , from office - my guess for at least two parliaments

This morning’s Express. Right-wing press now going after inheritance tax. We live with breathtaking wealth inequality very lightly taxed. Every civilisation has taxed bequests because every civilisation recognises we are all part of society. Except the Tory press and its allies.

A chorus of right wing commentators and politicians decry ā€œ wokeā€ NatWest and side with Farage - and not only them. It is a purpose driven bank producing startling profits and performance as todays results proved. It’s the future. Faragist antediluvian capitalism the past.

Todays expected interest rate rise of 0.25 per cent is overshoot. The housing market is in deep trouble: inflation unwinding rapidly: manufacturing confidence fading: investment flatlining. I hope the Bank now pauses. A rise would be over compensating for past mistakes.
