Our July issue is live now! (bhavana.org.in) Check out our interview with Manindra Agrawal, 'A' from the 'AKS Primality test.' Do you want to know the lure and lore of IIT Kanpur? Or perhaps, about the 'Young' mathematician couple? (with a preamble by Michael J Barany) (1/2)

Dinakaran sir visited CEBS in 2018. Gave a series of lectures on history of maths. I was in first year at the time and he used to walk faster than me! Will miss you, sir. Om shanti 🙏

Prof. Divakaran was my teacher during my first semester at CMI in 2004: he taught us physics (CM I) and I didn't take it too seriously (got a B). :-) Later his interests turned to the history of the mathematics and he quickly became a leading scholar and very original thinker.

Prayers to his friends colleagues and family. I had discovered Madhava and his formulation of Indian Calculus thanks to Prof Divakaran’s wonderful lectures. He was one of the first to feature on Akashvani आकाशवाणी podcast series “Power of Listening” focused on Indian Knowledge Systems
