How do we fix a world filled with murder, rape, betrayal, sexual exploitation, pornography, abortion, terrorism, child abuse, racism and countless other evils? There will be no solutions unless we are honest about their underlying causes.

Matthew 6:11 (or Luke 11:3) says: “give us this day our daily bread.” The word “daily” in Greek is ἐπιούσιον. What does that mean? Hard to say. It appears nowhere else in the Bible. Probably it means “fitting portion." Still, the meaning is clear. We get it.

Acts 22:3 says Paul was "born in Tarsus." But the Greek word is γεγεννημένος, gegennēmenos, which means "brought forth" from Tarsus. The church father, Jereome, wrote that Paul was born in Galilee and that his family moved to Tarsus when the Romans took over Galilee, around AD 7.

This seems like a perfectly normal thing to say given the accusations?!? Unless, of course, the accusations were totally fabricated and made up recently as a political hit job.

Grace is Christ knocking on the door of our heart. Faith is when we open the door. When Christ walks through the open door and presents His free gift of forgiveness, communion with God & immortality - that is salvation Eph 2:1-10.

So many textbooks get this wrong: Jesus' ministry, from baptism to ascension, was not 3 years but 1.350 days or just over 44 months. For more than half that time, 770 days, He & His disciples vanished from the pages of Scripture. It was probably private teaching time.
