Boquillas Canyon Road Closure 4-4 to 4-5 The Boquillas Canyon Rd will be resurfaced on Monday and Tuesday, April 4th - April 5th. During this process, the road will be closed daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. There will be NO access to the Boquillas Canyon or Marufo Vega Trails.

Wildfire in the Chisos: At 11:00 AM, rangers were notified of a wildfire in the Southwest Rim area of the Chisos. Current estimate is 1.5 acres in size. Firefighters are hiking to the area now, and will work to contain the fire once they arrive. No trail closures at this time.

Recent river flooding has damaged the trail to the Hot Springs, and the Hot Springs are filled with sediment. The historic area is open, but the trail to the springs is closed until further notice.
