I see all these recruits via various services - I see their pics and comments - I don’t see their grades anywhere. Grades will kill you - below 3.2 and you are not Ivy, 95% disqualified from Patriot schools. Don’t get the coveted academic monies to make NEC offers realistic.

Sure if you are good enough, it may not matter. But few are good enough, very few. To get the grades - doesn’t a player need some of the very characteristics these colleges are seeking, discipline, priority mgmt, maturity, and focus. I see grades disqualify many options

The truth is if you aren’t a P4 or G5, you are Ivy, Pioneer, NEC, Pariot, or CAA. Academics are a huge qualifier / disqualifier at 90% of these schools. And bone up bc test optional is beginning to fade away.

Being present with your team is very important this summer. Teams need to develop chemistry. They need to be challenged….together. They need to fail and succeed together. If you feel the need for personal training or whatever, do it on your time - not the during team time.

One thing that keeps coming up with college coaches on the recruiting trail. “Does he love football”. Size, Speed, grades and ability are paramount but in todays environment - a guy who loves football stands out.

In 2016 the SAT became an easier test than it had been. Many had better results with the ACT. The NCAA required conversion charts to compensate for the less difficult SAT. I still believe the ACT is the way to go bc it has 4 parts, including science. SAT is all Math and English.

PA South Hills Showcase. Great turn out. One of the things I’m most proud of our players for was their positive attitudes, cheering for each other and truly being happy working hard shoulder to shoulder with their teammates. It was pointed out by coaches all practice.

An excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the program and not sit around on the couch all summer!

She is a positive beacon on our sideline!
