Fourth year Rutgers RWJMedSchool medical student Valerie Collins started a robust discussion with her Eastern Vascular Society talk on costs of TCAR vs CEA for treatment of carotid disease at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Masterfully handled fresh off her months kicking butt on away rotations! #EVS2024 Rutgers Health

Grateful to have the opportunity to present my research from NYUGSOM Vascular Surgery at #EVS2024. Thank you too all who have helped and guided me along the way! Eastern Vascular Society FutureVascSurgeons

Rutgers Rutgers RWJMedSchool chief resident Kristen Lee got the memo: We will win every case competition we enter! Presenting a case she did with Dr Jen Li of a single stage type II endo repair of a contained rupture, Dr Lee impressed the judges at the Medtronic Vascular Health competition at Eastern Vascular Society!

Best wishes to Rutgers University Rutgers RWJMedSchool Emeritus Professor Bruce @Springsteen - Happy 75th Birthday Boss!

Or as itâs known in NJ, 6pm Eastern. See yâall there FutureVascSurgeons!

Congrats Jordan R. Stern, MD! Glad to have you back on the East Coast again!

No surprise to find fellow masochists in our Division of Vascular Surgery at Rutgers RWJMedSchool with strong participation in the Rutgers University Big Chill 5K race. True to its name: 28âF at the start! Not pictured: Division organizer Charles Hamilton, MD (operating)

So Proud of PGY3 Dr. Ashley Toussaint for winning the resident Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences #GME Professionalism award! Nominated for her work with the Rutgers RWJMedSchool vascular team, she epitomizes professionalism and creates an excellent #learningandworkingenvironment. Dylan Nieman Neil Kothari, M.D.

Great privilege to be PD of our vascular surgery residency program at Rutgers Health Rutgers RWJMedSchool for the last few years, following in the steps of Saum Rahimi. Couldnât ask for a better group of faculty and residents than ours.

Great start to #VESS2025! Lily Adler gave a stellar talk on the path from med student to vascular resident (Iâm still getting used to her USC ppts after her years at Rutgers RWJMedSchool đ). Then PDs from across the country sat down to give advice for matching into vascular. THE best mtg!

UMassVascular Congratulations to our two, to all of those who matched in vascular surgery, and to those who are still in the fight on their journey to becoming a vascular surgeon. Everyone finds their own different path and we are so happy to support you and welcome you to our field.

Register for tonightâs panel to hear from experts like Valerie Collins on how to Match into your top vascular surgery integrated residency program. Wait, where did she Match again? đ€

Many thanks to BIDMC Vascular & Endovascular Surgeryâs Dr Schermerhorn for braving travel chaos to join us as our 2025 Rosenberg distinguished lecturer at Rutgers RWJMedSchool! Not only a phenomenal aortic surgeon, but a mentor to our own Dr Jen Li. (Alas itâs 3 days too late for the âMay the FORS be with youâ joke)
