Don't be surprised if Rangers are told to close the Copland Stand for the next home game. I dare say it won't have impressed the imminent new owners. Of course, any punishment handed out will be victimisation, I sometimes wonder if there is a will to make the club great again?

A 1st half, which Rangers controlled but without really creating many chances other than Dessers header. They were busy and moved the ball with pace and holding a high line, but all too often, the 1st touch or final ball let Rangers down at key times. Need better in final 3rd.

Rangers far more direct in the 2nd half, allowing them to pose more danger in the final 3rd. They created more and got their rewards. The frustrating part is that it's too little too late, and you get a glimpse of what should have been all season. Change is coming, but how much?

So David Ancelotti being touted as the next Rangers Manager, I'm confused he's assistant to his dad, and that's all he's ever been managerially. Is that really what rangers need? Not for me! They need a manager who can manage a team for Scotland. Not Spain, Germany, or elsewhere.

It's now getting ridiculous the amount of goals Rangers give away from set pieces. They have dominated the 1st 2o minutes, and because of poor defending, they find themselves down a goal yet again. Totally unacceptable just not learning.

A busy 1st half from Rangers, where they moved the ball well but only created a couple of half chances until the Dessers goal. However, defending set pieces once again called into question. Truthfully, Rangers never really under any pressure but not creating enough yet again.

A workmanlike performance from Rangers tonight. They were never really under threat, and at times, there were glimpses of what could and should have been this season. So many things have been wrong, but the critical factors have been consistency, desire, and belief. New brooms.

In 50 years of being a football journalist, I have never been incensed by a non decision by the officials. Rangers have a goal disallowed after a clear and obvious refereeing error, which is what VAR is there for, but then to compound matters, VAR commits the same thing. DISGRACE

A colleague has suggested I don't know the VAR guidance for the disallowed goal. My answer is simple, in the impoverished arena of Scottish Football with no money for goal line technology. VAR has to be obliged to check such things, not to mention the incompetence of the ref.

Rangers getting off to a great start, but never really dominating. Sadly, due to the refereeing error and disallowed goal, Rangers have had to try and refire themselves but have been untidy in their distribution and have been noticeably unsettled. Personally I just want it over.

The SFA has responded to the Rangers' disallowed goal controvesay, saying there was no clear evidence the ball had crossed the line. However, what there has been clear evidence of is that Scotland has become a backwater of the modern game, underfunded, undervalued, and mismanaged

All I'm going to say is that it has been a season of conflicting emotions. Change is potentially on the horizon, but don't expect that change to be an instant magic bullet. Expect a clearer vision for the club and the wherewithal to carry it out. It'll be very different I suspect

The only person who hasn't been named as a candidate for the Rangers job is ME! A couple of weeks ago, I said it shouldn't be anyone who played the slow play out from the back style. Worryingly, too many of the front runners favour this. It won't work in Scotland we've seen that.

It seems the reports on Russell Martin have more than a degree of substance. A few seasons ago made the point that Rangers struggled to win trophies because they had no players with a record of major wins. I want to give Martin a chance, but as a manager, only just makes average.

Bill Young (@billyoungradio) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Let me congratulate Russell Martin on his appointment. I don't want to be negative before the man has started. He had a short spell at the club, so he knows what is expected he also has knowledge of the style of play here. However, he has a style of play that will need adapting.

Just watched Russell Martins press conference, very measured but with a clear vision and an understanding of what's needed. The talk is positive, so let's see how the walk looks. Not everything will drop into place quickly, and recruitment will be key, but I like his attitude.
