Small country life…when ALL 3 of your #Gambia orthopaedic surgeons are attending & presenting at the WACS (West African College of Surgeons) conference. Luckily we’ve built a strong department EFSTH_Ortho that can carry on competently looking after patients without us for 5 days

On our recent trip to the Gambia, the team operated on this man who’d had a previous football injury as a teenager which had resulted in a knee deformity. The surgeons operated to straighten out his leg and correct the deformity. Pre and post op gait videos coming soon…

Yesterday we held a seminar for theatre nurses dealing with fractures. Pleased to see Bintou Trawally & Deejah taking over the running of this course & doing it well. Our dynamic team keeps on going to new heights & I love seeing their growth #TransformationalLeadership

The Gambia will host the 3rd edition of the Presidential Council Meeting scheduled for the 1st August 2023 to be preceded by Experts and Ministerial meetings at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre, Bijilo.
