An absolute honour to have been involved in this incredible work from Alan Brown, Miao Gui and Travis. They generated atomic models of the axoneme structures from green algae flagella and human respiratory cilia and provided new insight into defects associated with PCD.

Check out our new paper! Within the retinal pigment epithelium of the #eye, a proportion of #mitochondria move after light onset while others are tethered to the plasma membrane. This tethering was not impacted in our model of choroideremia. UCL Institute of Ophthalmology mdpi.com/2073-4409/13/1…
