Some AMAZING and INSPIRING talks and posters here NACOB! #biomechanics The word of the day is #ubuntu meaning “I am what I am because of who we all are”.

They're still using a picture from my first day in the lab back in 2016 (!!!) but I'm very excited to have "Staff" changed to "Graduate" as I start my PhD orientation today! Looking forward to continuing my work as a graduate student!

Attending my first ABRCMS #abrcms2022. The excitement of these students has me enthused about science way out of my comfort zone. Hope we can sway some of them toward #MovementScience, #Biomechanics , and #biomedicalengineering with @wustl_pt , WashU Biomedical Engineering , and @LoriSetton

"Adult reconstructive surgery was attractive to me because of the positive impact it can have on patients’ lives. The surgical procedures range from routine to complex, and you can see immediate benefit for patients." Learn more about Dr. Clohisy ⬇️ bit.ly/3NOq6U8

The BaxterLabHQ data cup overfloweth! Really excited about this next set of papers. #preprint up soon for really exciting validation study that is timely and a bit of a wait for another great rehab focused paper (not every journal is hip with preprints)

A nearly $8 million grant from the NIH will go toward a new center at Penn Medicine for research on Achilles tendon injuries, studying how to treat them and even how to prevent them. spr.ly/60183jDB8

Late retweet (as usual) but we BaxterLabHQ had a new preprint comparing ankle/knee/hip angles AND moments by markerless vs. marker motion capture. We are excited by markerless because it may allow us do more MoCap in more places. Dr. Baxter had a nice thread (w/ article link)👇

Had to advance my social energy bank a bit but was well worth it😅 Lotta science happened! It was all in the #teamwork.

Great talk by BaxterLabHQ star Michelle Kwon who talked about her #wearables sensor strategy to continuously monitor Achilles tendon loading and walking speed in patients

Peer-reviewed article now available on Journal of Biomechanics - check out our findings & thoughts at doi.org/10.1016/j.jbio… including lots of data on 8 various movements (and many more in supplemental, as bonus)! p.s. Thanks to all who stopped by my Thematic Poster on this work at the ASB!

Better movement in daily living will lead to better health for everyone. That's why I study the biomechanics of how we move each day. Hirers Orthopaedic Research Society: come by #FutureORSFaculty Poster 16 to see my vision on data-guided musculoskeletal rehab - and why I'm ready to work on it👇

Been a year since this paper came out so it is now a FREE PMC article ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P… !! If you are interested in markerless motion capture and have not read our work on its comparative accuracy against marker-based on lower extremity biomechanics... you should!
