Im in bird heaven. After leaving my shed door open by accident last wk a pair of Swallows are nest building in it. Im delighted. Lots of activity. 4 Swifts flying above hse this am. Swift box is up/caller in the post, might get 'bangers' in June Im told. birdwatchireland.ie/birds/swallow/

With the support of National Parks and Wildlife Service we have secured one of Irelands most important corncrake breeding sites in Co. Mayo. The entire 20 acre site is now managed in cooperation with our neighbors and is fortified with a predator control fence. npws.ie/news/minister-…
