The Bishop of Durham Paul Butler gives his valedictory speech in the House of Lords today in a debate on poverty reduction, after leading the House in prayers for his final time. A Lord Spiritual for 10 years, Bishop Paul will be much missed in the House & on the Bishops' Bench.

The excellent Paul Butler made his valedictory speech in the Lords this morning. He spoke up passionately for children and those living in poverty as he has done throughout his time here. He leaves big shoes to fill, both in parliament and Durham.
