Just come out of a session on Human Dignity at #LambethConference in which the reality of different views on sexuality across the Anglican Communion was acknowledged, underlying the importance of continued commitment to ongoing conversations through LLF.

Faithful LGBTQI+ Anglicans may be feeling hurt and sad yet again to be talked about rather than with this week. As human beings what we all need is recognition and loving kindness. When the Lambeth Conference has ended, there will be more to say.

Delighted to be coming to serve this great county and diocese in all its diversity of people, landscape and outlook. My months as Acting Bishop has given me a great love for the Diocese and its clergy and people.

The cost of the move, of course, is to leave my beloved Ely where I have been so happy and where I have learned so much. I shall always have Ely on my heart and in my prayers.
