A mild start to the morning for open gardens at Bishop’s Lodge Gardens. Today (Thursday) 10am - 4pm.

The gardens at Bishop’s Lodge are open as usual (Thursdays 10am - 4pm) but Woolton Park is closed to vehicles and parking is difficult on Woolton Hill so please take care. Pedestrian access remains open.

This dogs tooth violet appears every year. It grows amongst the daffodils and is the only one in the garden. Another sign of spring coming 🌱

Enjoyed a sunny stroll around Bishop'sLodgeGardens today. Lovely to see the plants in bloom and hear the birds, including goldcrest, blackbird, coal tit and blackcap.

Great to see the bird boxes in use this year. Installed 2 yrs ago as part of a survey being undertaken by Liverpool John Moores University. They stayed empty last year, but all three have residents this time. Great tits seem very happy with this squirrel/wood pecker proof box.
