The ankle-brachial index (ABI) = ankle systolic pressure ÷ brachial systolic pressure. 🔹 ABI < 0.90 = abnormal 🔹 0.41–0.90 = mild to moderate PAD 🔹 0.00–0.40 = severe PAD ~90% sensitivity for diagnosing peripheral vascular disease (PVD).
