Kyle Schwarber hit his 38th home run of the season, a number he has reached in all four seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies. Schwarber is the first player in MLB history to hit at least 38 home runs in his first four seasons with any team.

The labor issue at Fenway Park continues as UNITE HERE Local 26 is giving Aramark Corporation a heads up about a potential strike - this time, an indefinite one. My latest on the issue at the home of the @redsox now at @sportico. sportico.com/leagues/baseba…

MLB is still tracking ahead on attendance year-over-year, but barely. Currently averaging about 40 more per game and ~70,000+ on the season. STL, TB and BAL adding significant drag. Mets are crushing it (~+11,750 per game) followed by DET, SFG, and KCR for increases YOY.

This is not quite accurate. Paid attendance instead of turnstile clicks became the norm when revenue sharing arrived in ‘90s. Comps, press, and VIPs not counted. Now, deeply discounted tix can be counted but affects rev sharing so on the clubs. Bottom line: tix sold counted

This is a really good question. As a matter of engagement and promotion of my articles and media guest spots, I have seen that suffer since leaving Twitter. As a principle, I have significant issues with the ownership of the platform. I’m weighing my options.

Maybe this is the wrong place to ask this question… Should I stay here on Twitter or would you follow me over at BlueSky

The A’s currently see +709 more per game and are +40,390 on the season year-over-year compared to the last season in Oakland.

Game absolutely had playoff vibes. And if you missed Duran closing for the first time as a Phillie, man was it ever electric.
