Now is not the time to go in a back and forth argument match. We should be in a singular voice in ensuring that the safety and health of all Texans is a top priority. I look forward to joining the Governor and anyone else who would like to help blunt the progression of #COVID19.

As coronavirus numbers continue to surge, Gov. Greg Abbott said today that "the worst is yet to come." He also said that if people keep violating his mask order, the next step could be another economic lockdown. bit.ly/3gPJRJt

Leadership has a huge impact on school culture, and school culture has a huge impact on student success. Dr. LaTonya M. Goffney of Aldine ISD shares her thoughts on finding the right leaders for her campuses:

Ted Cruz won’t stand up for his wife or father against Trump’s attacks. That is all anyone ever needs to know about him. For sure, he wouldn’t wear a mask. Why would he? He is entitled, arrogant, reckless and unworthy of his high office. He is the perfect archetype for this age

I've known Tony Fauci for years. He is a consummate professional whose advice has been sought out and respected by Presidents of both parties. These attacks on him are disgusting and say more about those leveling them than about Dr. Fauci. cnbc.com/2020/07/12/whi…

I do believe that we need a two-week shutdown, at the minimum of two weeks, and I have proposed this to the Governor so we can help blunt #COVID19 progression. If we can not have a shut down, then at least step back to state’s Phase I. This will allow us to reset and reassess.

"As leaders, we model every behavior that we desire in our teachers. We need to explicitly plan time to build relationships with our staff." Luke Rasmussen live on Panorama Education’s webinar with OgdenSchoolDistrict about what it means to lead #MTSS in your district #suptchat #SEL #EdLeadrship

Interesting comment "We were alarmed to see that students struggled with sense of belonging, a weak sense of adult connection. We implemented 2x10 (2min a day for 10 days with 1 child) building as a Tier 1 intervention to systematically build relationships"- Luke Rasmussen #MTSS

This is one of the best COVID-19 Virtual Board Meetings we have had. The Aldine ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to rename the @AEC_AISD campus to honor the work and legacy of Mr. Kenneth R. Knippel. Not a dry eye as the stories were shared. #LegacyofLeadership

This really was a good comment in a PD I listened to. "School is really a game that teachers are developing for children. You need to make it engaging so the child wants to be motivated to play and win" The more engaging, the more they will want to learn & complete assignments
