Williams Field alum Saira Prince, a sophomore at Arkansas, ran 56.04 to place 3rd 🥉 in the women’s 400mH at the Southeastern Conference championships. Prince, the state record holder in the 300mH, will compete at next week’s NCAA West Regionals with a chance to make it to the NCAA championships.

Williams Field junior Tyree McSwain finished 3rd in the Emerging Elite 400mH at Nike Outdoor Nationals over the weekend, running 54.34. Impressive effort for McSwain, one of the youngest athletes in the field, who had only about a month of training in the 400mH after doing the

McSwain's 54.34 puts him at No. 6 all-time for juniors in Arizona history. Ethan Wright (Desert Vista, 2018), James Smith Jr. (Westwood, 2017), Bobby Grant (Brophy Prep, 2013), Yan Vazquez (Red Mountain, 2021) and Vance Nilsson (Gilbert, 2023) are the names ahead of McSwain.
