(1/3) Because road conditions may worsen later today during normal bus route times, all Rutherford County schools will be dismissing two hours early today, Feb. 20, 2019.

(2/3) Buses will run their routes as long as roads are passable. There are only a handful of roads that are currently listed as closed by the county. If a road is impassable, students will be taken back to school. Schools will work with families who plan to pick up children.

(3/3) Two hours early means all schedules are moved back two hours early. For example, if your child’s school normally releases at 2:30 p.m., they will dismiss today at 12:30 p.m.. The same applies for bus stop times.

All Rutherford County Schools will remain closed Friday, Feb. 22, 2019. Latest forecast shows several inches of rain impacting our county tonight and tomorrow, which will further complicate road conditions.
