I’ve been thinking about this “Alligator Alcatraz” concentration camp down in Florida. As a student of the Concentration Camps of WWII, I wrote an entire graduate thesis on the psychology of those working there, I see many parallels to Nazi Germany in the early 1930’s. 1/3

Early Dachau was, much like Florida, a “holding facility” for Jews, political prisoners, and anyone seen as “undesirable.” It was a form of terrorism, a propaganda campaign. Early Nazis did encourage Jews to “self deport,” seem familiar? 2/3

I often wondered as a young man, just how everyday decent German people, allowed such a thing to happen right under their noses. I studied transcripts of trials, interviews, even spoke with Germans who lived through the Holocaust, and the parallel to today is uncanny.
