Today was my last sim day with the residents @UTSWPedsRes. 7 years and countless hours of preparation to learn to be a #simtensivist. If I was able to help 1 resident learn 1 thing to make a patient’s life better, it will have been worth it. #PedsICU #Pediatrics #MedEd #medsim

Rather than pulling learners kicking and screaming to a place they don’t want to go, the best educators elevate their learners. Educators should focus on learners’ strengths, find holes in their knowledge, and fill the gaps so they can move beyond those holes. #PedsICU #MedEd

Today is my last day at UTSW Media Relations and Children's Health. From my 2012 medical degree to the 3 years as a UTSW PedsCCM critical care fellow and the last 5 years as an attending. I developed a strong early career as an educator in #MedEd and #simtensivist. I will miss this place. #PedsICU
