Liz Carr says disabled people find the prospect of assisted dying terrifying. She says the law could change culture, medical relationships, and the value placed on certain lives.

NDYUK warning MPs about the risks inherent in the Terminally Ill (End of Life) Bill. The devil is in the detail. MPs are right to request more time for scrutiny announced TODAY. In its current form, hundreds of people in vulnerable situations will unintentionally die as a result

How many times must I tell parliamentarians PIP is not an out of work benefit. It is to cover the extra costs associated with disability. PIP assists us to navigate our way through life – which includes accessing education, jobs, and day-to-day survival in an ablest world!

Baroness J Campbell (@bnsjanecampbell) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Since 1971 the extra costs of disability (AA, MobA, DLA, now PIP) enabled me to access education, employment, housing . It's what enabled a career which led me to Parliament. When I met Stephen Timms MP it became obvious he is under orders. Be brave MPs you can say not this way

Baroness J Campbell (@bnsjanecampbell) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Yes. That's why MPs be courageous and standby what they believe to be right and just, first and foremost. After all, isn't that what we are in politics for? "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter" ML King Maeve Sherlock Disability Rights UK

#Newscast Paddy O'Connell Faisal Islam discussing government’s U-turn new commitment to “co-production” with orgs of & for disabled people. New to them maybe! I started “co-production” with James Purnell when he was at the Department for Work and Pensions in 2008! publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm200708/cm…

My privilege to be with my community of disability rights campaigners explaining to parliamentarians AGAIN, the extra costs of disability. Without a little extra financial support we are consigned to dependency and invisibility. Thankfully they got our message in the nic of time
